Part 1: The Science
In 2012, when following our curiosity, my group discovered how to modify our favorite protein molecule such that it was unusually stable and resistant to spontaneous decay.
We later realized that this invention could be used to improve the detection and - in the future perhaps - the strengthening of the natural immune response against tumors, so we secured the intellectual property and set up a company.
The first of two presentations focuses on the scientific discovery: how it came about and why we realized it was important.
I will try to remain understandable to everyone who is interested.
