Jacobs University’s economics students receive an excellent education. This confirms the latest CHE-university ranking. The private, English-speaking campus university receives particularly good marks for the support at the beginning of studies, which lays the foundation for later academic success, and for its efficiency: almost all economics students complete their studies within the standard period of study.

This year, the most comprehensive and detailed ranking in the German higher education system took a close look at business subjects. Jacobs University is represented in the ranking with the Bachelor's programs "Global Economics and Management", "International Business Administration" and "Industrial Engineering and Management" as well as with the Master's program "Supply Chain Management".

"For us, the ranking is so important and the result so valuable because it is based on the judgment of our students," says Prof. Thomas Auf der Heyde, Provost and Dean of Students. "The positive assessment is a confirmation of our concept of an international campus university in Bremen, where people from different nations do research, live and learn together". Jacobs University ranked high especially because of the international orientation of its study programs and the internationality of its student body. Jacobs University’s students come from over 120 nations and more than 80 percent moved to Germany for their studies.

Jacobs University is also in the top group in terms of the research funds raised per academic in the degree programs "Global Economics and Management" and "International Business Administration". This indicator stands for the research performance of the department.

The ranking of the Centre for Higher Education Development (CHE) collects information on studies, teaching and research at more than 300 universities and universities of applied sciences in Germany. Around 120,000 students were surveyed for this purpose. In previous years, Jacobs University has already achieved top positions in the university comparison, which examines different courses of study every year. Jacobs University also achieved top positions in other rankings such as the World University Ranking of the magazine Times Higher Education (THE) or the (THE) Young University Ranking for universities that are no older than 50 years.
