Matthias Kramer has started as new Head of Business Operations at Jacobs University. Mr. Kramer is responsible for sales and marketing and heads the Departments of Brand Management, Marketing & Communications, and Business Solutions.
The 45-year-old comes to us from KPMG, one of the leading international business auditing and consulting firms, where he worked in different leading positions. Before starting at our university, he was responsible for sales in the Swiss national subsidiary.
Kramer studied economics in St. Gallen and got his MBA at the University of Chicago. Before his time at KPMG, he worked at the Boston Consulting Group as well as Volkswagen. He has known Bremen since his childhood, because he grew up and went to school here

Because of its internationality as well as because of the fact that people at this university are consequently thinking beyond the borders of their own subjects – in research and in teaching.”
