J-CUB – Start-ups at Constructor University

Our University is committed to supporting entrepreneurship and innovation within our student body and in the Bremen region. Our involvement has two interlinked sides:

On the student side, we created the J-CUB option which offers a space for students to develop their business ideas. This initiative operates within the wider network of BRIDGE.

On the industry side, we develop links with established businesses and investors in the region to create synergies between our university students and the real-life business world.

Startup Spirit at Constructor University

Entrepreneurship, the Entrepreneurial Mindset, a startup culture: All of these terms apply to Constructor University.

Meet our Student Entrepreneurs

Constructor University ranked on the Gründungsradar 2020

Constructor University (former Jacobs University) with its J-CUB Start-up option was ranked on the 16th place in the small university category by the “Gründungsradar 2020” (Start-up Radar). Additionally, Jacobs University was included in the top 10 for start-up activities in this category.

The Gründungsradar is a nationwide start-up study that records, evaluates and compares start-up activities in all German colleges and universities. The Stifterverband sponsors this study. In the ranking, universities, politicians, business leaders and science promoters can see how far the start-up culture at a university has developed and where there is still potential.

The full report can be found here (in German). Jacobs University is mentioned on page 19 and 49.
